The Yankees hope to end 3-game skid against the Rays on Sunday.

The New York Yankees are currently in the top position in the American League East with a record of 79-54. They will be taking on the Tampa Bay Rays at 1:40 p.m. EDT Sunday, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Frankie Montas is likely to start for the Yankees, while Shawn Armstrong will take the mound for the Rays. The Bomber’s pitcher is back after a successful rehab and ready to boost his team performance.

The New York Yankees are looking to end their losing streak of three games with a victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday.

At home, Tampa Bay has a record of 44-23, and the team as a whole has a history of 74-57. The Rays boast a winning record of 20-8 in games where they had at least two home runs in a game.

On the road, New York has a record of 34-34, and the team’s overall record is 79-54. The Yankees lead all of Major League Baseball with 206 total home runs hit.

This will be the 16th time this season that these two teams face each other when they will meet on Sunday. The Yankees currently hold a lead of five games in the AL East.

The Yankees are led by Aaron Judge, who has 20 doubles, 52 home runs, and 114 runs batted in. In the last 10 games, Anthony Rizzo has a batting average of 6-for-21 with two home runs and three RBI.

In their last ten games, the Yankees have a record of 4-6, with a batting average of.205, an earned run average of 3.45, and they have been defeated by one run.

After giving a tough fight to the Rays in the second game, fans expect the Yankees to show fireworks on Sunday.

The list of injured Yankees: Andrew Benintendi, Anthony Rizzo, Jameson Taillon, Luis Gil, Aroldis Chapman, Harrison Bader, Nestor Cortes, Scott Effross, Albert Abreu, Matt Carpenter, Luis Severino, Miguel Castro, Michael King, Chad Green, Stephen Ridings, and Zack Britton.

Will the Yankees be able to stop the Rays from a clean sweep? Who will lead the Yankees’ charge in Tampa?
