NEW YORK — Jazz Chisholm Jr. just locked up his biggest commitment of the offseason. And it has nothing to do with the Yankees.
The two-time All-Star announced his engagement to Ahnalys Santiago this weekend. The couple shared the news on social media with a series of vacation photos and a caption that left no room for doubt.
“Da Parents. See y’all at our wedding next year,” the post read.

Santiago also posted on X with photos of the couple.
“My honey pie, aka future hubby,” she wrote. Chisholm reposted the message with one word: “MacChisholm.”
Ahnalys Santiago built her career through music and reality television
Ahnalys Santiago, known professionally as Ahna Mac, is a 25-year-old singer, songwriter and reality television personality. She was born on August 13, 2000, in Plainfield, New Jersey.
Santiago launched her music career in 2019 with the single “Run It.” The track surpassed one million streams on Spotify and established her presence in the R&B scene. She has since released other popular songs including “Forever Sorry,” “Bed Head,” “Situationship” and “New.”
Her television profile exploded through the Zeus Network’s “Baddies” franchise. Santiago appeared on “Baddies East” in 2023, where her bold personality made her one of the most talked-about cast members. She later appeared on “Baddies Caribbean,” “Baddies Midwest” and “Baddies Africa.”
Santiago has built a massive social media following. Her Instagram account has over 1.5 million followers. She was also named a brand ambassador for luxury fashion house Diesel earlier this year.
The couple kept their relationship private until recently
Chisholm and Santiago kept their romance under wraps for most of 2025. Internet speculation swirled, but neither confirmed the relationship publicly until this month.
The engagement announcement caught many fans by surprise. The couple shared photos from what appeared to be a tropical vacation. One image showed them relaxing poolside in an underwater-themed area with rocky, cave-like structures. Another captured them side-by-side on outdoor massage tables with the ocean in the background.
Fans flooded social media with congratulations. “Congrats, Jazz, you guys are adorable,” one supporter wrote. Another predicted bigger things on the diamond. “My goat. 40/40 next year.”

Chisholm delivered a historic season for the Yankees in 2025
The engagement caps a year of significant milestones for the 27-year-old Bahamian infielder. Chisholm enjoyed the best season of his career in 2025.
He finished with a .242 batting average, 31 home runs, 80 RBI and 31 stolen bases. The 30/30 campaign made him just the third player in Yankees history to reach both marks in a single season.
Chisholm earned his second All-Star selection and participated in the Home Run Derby. He won his first career Silver Slugger Award.
The season was not without struggles. He missed the entire month of May with an oblique strain. His postseason ended poorly. In Game 4 of the ALDS against Toronto, Chisholm committed a costly error that helped the Blue Jays eliminate the Yankees.
Contract uncertainty clouds Chisholm’s future in the Bronx
The engagement news comes amid uncertainty about Chisholm’s long-term future with the Yankees. He enters 2026 in the final year of his contract. Free agency awaits after next season.
Brian Cashman said Sunday at the Winter Meetings that no extension talks have taken place. The general manager acknowledged the Yankees appear “lukewarm” about committing to Chisholm long-term.
Yankees insider Bryan Hoch raised the possibility of trading Chisholm before he walks for nothing in free agency.
“As of right now, it seems like they’re lukewarm about giving him a contract extension,” Hoch said. “He’s going into a walk year. This is his last year under contract. He’s coming off a 31-homer, 31-stolen base season.”
Chisholm has expressed his desire to remain in New York. The organization has yet to reciprocate with a formal offer.

Personal happiness could boost his performance on the field
Some fans believe the engagement could translate to even better production in 2026. A settled personal life often helps athletes perform at their peak.
Chisholm has flashed 40/40 potential. His combination of power and speed is rare in today’s game. Only three other players recorded at least 20 home runs and 30 stolen bases in 2025.
The stakes for 2026 could not be higher. Chisholm will be playing for his next contract. He will be playing to prove the Yankees should commit to him. And now he will be playing with a ring on his finger.
Santiago and Chisholm have not announced a wedding date beyond confirming it will happen next year. For now, Yankees fans can celebrate alongside their star second baseman. The baseball decisions can wait.
