New York — The New York Yankees once again proved their offensive firepower Friday night, taking home three American League Silver Slugger Awards. Aaron Judge earned his fifth career honor, Jazz Chisholm Jr. captured his first, and the Yankees secured the AL team award for the second straight season.

Judge’s fifth Silver Slugger tied him with franchise icons Derek Jeter, Robinson Cano, Jorge Posada, and Dave Winfield for the most in Yankees history.

The Yankees captain delivered one of the best offensive seasons in modern baseball. Judge hit .331 with 53 home runs and 114 RBIs while producing a 1.144 OPS. He also claimed his first career batting title, leading all of Major League Baseball in average, on-base percentage (.457) and slugging (.688).

No player in either league matched his triple-crown-style dominance.

Judge has now won Silver Slugger Awards in four of the past five seasons, including back-to-back honors in 2024 and 2025. He topped a field that included Byron Buxton, Riley Greene, George Springer, and teammate Cody Bellinger.

His 212 OPS+ led the majors by a wide margin, reinforcing his status as the game’s most feared hitter.

Chisholm joins Yankees’ second-base legacy

Jazz Chisholm Jr. picked up his first career Silver Slugger at second base, joining a Yankees lineage that features DJ LeMahieu, Robinson Cano, Alfonso Soriano, and Willie Randolph.

The 27-year-old became one of only seven MLB players in 2025 to reach the 30-30 milestone, hitting 31 home runs with 31 stolen bases. He batted .242 with an .813 OPS in 130 games while leading all AL second basemen in both power categories.

After arriving from Miami in 2024 and shifting from third to second base following Gleyber Torres’ exit, Chisholm provided athleticism and spark to a veteran-heavy roster.

Yankees lead baseball in offensive production

New York also repeated as the AL team Silver Slugger winner, becoming only the second franchise to capture the honor in consecutive seasons.

The Yankees led all of MLB with 849 runs, 51 more than any other team. They also topped the league in home runs (274), slugging (.455), OPS (.787), and total bases (2,488).

Seven players hit 20 or more home runs, and six regulars finished with an OPS above .810. Managers and coaches who vote for the award credited the Yankees’ unmatched lineup depth for the repeat victory.

Other Yankees finalists fall short

Cody Bellinger was a Silver Slugger finalist but did not win. He posted a .813 OPS with 29 home runs and 98 RBIs during his first Yankees season, ranking near the top 10 among AL outfielders in wRC+.

Bellinger lost to Byron Buxton and Riley Greene, both first-time winners.

Rookie Ben Rice received consideration as a utility finalist after a promising season but fell short of the final cut.

Despite that, the Yankees joined Detroit as the only AL clubs with multiple individual honorees.

Individual awards continue for Yankees

The Silver Slugger victories may be the first of several accolades for the Yankees this awards season. Judge remains a leading AL MVP candidate after winning in 2022 and 2024, each time pairing that trophy with Silver Slugger honors.

Since 1980, Louisville Slugger has presented the awards annually to the best offensive player at each position in both leagues, based on votes from opposing managers and coaches.

Here are separate, verified tables of all 2025 Silver Slugger Award winners, organized by American League and National League, based on the official MLB announcement published on November 7, 2025.

Power and production define Yankees’ lineup

The Yankees’ 2025 success came from power and patience. Their 274 home runs set a franchise record, surpassing the 2019 team’s total.

Judge led the way with 53, Chisholm added 31, and Bellinger followed with 29. The lineup’s balance left pitchers with nowhere to hide.

As a team, the Yankees drew 639 walks. Judge alone took 127, driving his league-leading .457 on-base percentage. That approach helped sustain rallies and grind down opposing rotations.

Awards confirm Yankees’ dominance

The 98-win Bronx Bombers’ combined star power with depth, earning home-field advantage in the AL playoffs. The Silver Slugger honors validate a season defined by sustained offensive pressure.

Judge’s consistency and leadership at the top of the order set the tone. Chisholm’s energy and 30-30 performance brought balance to the lineup. Together, they embodied the identity of a Yankees offense built on power, plate discipline, and relentless production.

With three Silver Slugger Awards, the Yankees once again stand atop the American League as baseball’s most complete offensive team.
