The New York Yankees are looking at different ways to get rid of Aaron Hicks, who plays in the outfield. Hicks has three more years left on his contract, but he had a rough year in 2022. His season was over after he hurt his knee in game five of the ALDS.

This year, Hicks has only hit .216 because he hasn’t been able to see the ball well at the plate. He hasn’t helped the team as much as the front office had hoped.

Bryan Hoch, who is close to the Yankees, said that the team is thinking about moving on from Aaron Hicks.

“The Yankees will explore moving Hicks, who still has three years under contract,” Hoch reported.

Fans are happy that the team is done with Hicks and ready to move on. They don’t like him at all as an outfielder and want him to leave as soon as possible.

“This is the best news I’ve heard all week,” one fan cheered.

“Oh God please get rid of him,” said another.

New York fans think it might be hard for the team to sell Aaron Hicks to other teams. They think that the best thing for the team to do is to just let Hicks go. Not many teams want an average outfielder who made his first appearance in 2008.

The New York Yankees have already said that they want Aaron Boone to be their manager again in 2023. After a disappointing postseason, there were rumors that the Yankees might try to replace Boone, but that is not the case.

Now that Boone is staying, the Yankees can start making plans to keep their star player, Aaron Judge, on the team. No matter how well he did in the playoffs, the team would be very sad to lose him. He is right now one of the best players.

Anthony Rizzo, who plays first base, has an “opt-out” clause that he could use this offseason. If that happens, the Yankees will have to find someone to play first base.

This offseason, the New York Yankees have to make some important decisions. Fans are hoping that the team will have a good plan for free agency.

Should the Yankees get rid of Aaron Hicks?
