The Orioles Open the Season at Home Against The Yankees
Saturday’s game between the New York Yankees and the Baltimore Orioles is scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on local television or through an MLB.tv subscription at Camden Yards in Baltimore. The Yankees will be led by Gerrit Cole (9-2, 3.02 ERA), while the Orioles will be led by Jordan Lyles (6-8, 4.76 ERA).
New York (65-30) enters Saturday with the best record in baseball and resumes its series with the Orioles following a win on Friday. The Yankees defeated Baltimore 7-6 in the series opener, led by Aaron Judge‘s two home runs and four RBI. Having said that, New York lost reliever Michael King to what was later determined to be an elbow fracture, forcing him to miss the rest of the season. With the August 2 trade deadline approaching, the Yankees may be more aggressive in their pursuit of relief help.
