On Sunday, Carlos Rodon played his second rehab game with the Double-A Somerset Patriots, exciting fans and scouts who are eager for him to return to the Yankees.

Carlos Rodon’s performance was a significant step forward, as he demonstrated his skills and provided a glimpse of what we can expect in the future.

The stats do not lie

In his outing with the Somerset Patriots, Carlos Rodon displayed dominance on the mound, allowing just one hit over four scoreless innings. His performance was highlighted by his ability to locate his pitches effectively, as evidenced by his zero walks. Rodon attacked the strike zone, throwing 36 of his 48 pitches for strikes, demonstrating his command and control.

The left-hander’s impressive line of 4 innings, 1 hit, 0 earned runs, 4 strikeouts, and no walks left no doubt that he is progressing well in his rehab process. This outing was a necessary confidence booster for Carlos Rodon, who is inching closer to making his eagerly awaited debut with the New York Yankees.

Carlos Rodon’s recovery journey has been closely followed by fans and pundits alike. After experiencing some injury setbacks, he has worked diligently to regain his form and rejoin the Yankees. The rehab assignments have proven vital in gradually allowing him to regain his strength and stamina while fine-tuning his mechanics.

With this successful rehab appearance, Carlos Rodon is expected to make one more start before being deemed ready to return to the Yankees. The coaching staff and management will likely closely monitor his upcoming start as they evaluate his readiness to rejoin the big league club.

Rodon’s imminent return to the Yankees is a promising development for the team, as they anticipate reinforcing their pitching staff. Known for his electric stuff and ability to generate swings and misses, Carlos Rodon has the potential to significantly impact the team’s performance.

The left-hander had a solid start to the 2021 season before being sidelined with an injury. In his 12 starts for the White Sox, he boasted a 6-2 record with a stellar 1.89 ERA and an impressive 93 strikeouts in just 70 innings pitched. Upon his return, the Yankees will have a formidable weapon in their rotation if he can replicate that form.

As Carlos Rodon progresses in his rehab assignments, the Yankees must exercise caution and not rush his return. They will likely closely monitor his workload and assess his physical readiness to ensure that he is fully prepared to contribute at the highest level.
