NEW YORK — The Yankees’ growing collection of new faces has changed the look of the clubhouse this season. Away from the field, a recent night out offered another glimpse at how players and their families are settling into the same circle.
Ryan McMahon’s wife, Natalie, shared an 11-photo Instagram carousel Monday from a gathering attended by several New York Yankees players and their significant others. The pictures quickly drew reactions from within the Yankees family, including Aaron Judge’s wife, Samantha.
The post showed a dressed-up group in what appeared to be a dimly lit bar or restaurant. McMahon and Natalie appeared together in the opening image, while later photos brought together several familiar Yankees couples and partners.
For a roster that has undergone meaningful change, the social snapshots offered an off-field look at relationships forming around the club. McMahon, a veteran infielder, was at the center of the post, but the Yankees captain and his wife also featured prominently.
Yankees families fill McMahon’s photo carousel
Judge appeared in one of the pictures alongside Samantha. He wore a black suit jacket and matching trousers with a white dress shirt. Samantha appeared in several of the slides, including group pictures with Natalie and other women connected to Yankees players.
One group image included Natalie, Samantha and Megan, the wife of Trent Grisham. Another later slide included Samantha and Natalie with Sara Falkson, Ben Rice’s girlfriend, and Ava O’Connor, Spencer Jones’ girlfriend.
The reactions underneath Natalie’s post became nearly as notable as the pictures. Chase Bellinger, Cody Bellinger’s wife, was among those responding.
“Sooooo good🔥🔥,” Chase wrote.
Ashley, Carlos Rodón’s wife, also reacted with emojis, while Falkson praised the post.
“Perfection 💕,” Falkson wrote.
Samantha and Natalie are ‘diaper friends’
Samantha Judge and Natalie McMahon’s connection predates the Yankees. They grew up next door to each other in Linden, California, and have known each other since they were in diapers. They attended the same schools, with Natalie among Samantha’s classmates.
Ryan McMahon described that unusually long connection during Yankees spring training.
“So my wife [Natalie] and his wife grew up next door to each other from the time they were in diapers,” McMahon told The Post. “She went to high school with Sam and Aaron.”
That history gives Samantha’s affectionate reaction to Natalie’s latest post another layer. Their friendship began long before either family became part of the Yankees circle and has now carried into their lives around the same clubhouse.
Samantha Judge adds a personal reaction
Samantha’s response was brief but unmistakably affectionate. Her comment joined a series of messages from Yankees partners who appeared in or reacted to the carousel.
“ilyyyy♥️♥️♥️,” Samantha commented.
Jocelyn, J.C. Escarra’s wife, called the group “The prettiest ladies 🩷,” while O’Connor directed her reaction toward Natalie.
“Obsessed with YOU 🥹,” O’Connor commented.
Caroline Nielson, Austin Wells’ girlfriend, joked about her role in capturing one of the moments shown in the carousel.
“me sniping an intimate moment for incredible content 😌💅💅💅,” Nielson wrote.
The exchange turned Natalie’s post into a wider Yankees family moment rather than simply a look at one couple’s night out.
Judge makes a rare off-field appearance
Judge’s presence also stood out because the Yankees captain generally keeps much of his private life away from the daily baseball spotlight. In Natalie’s carousel, he appeared only once, standing at the far right of a group photo next to Samantha.
Samantha appeared more frequently. In addition to the photo with Judge, she was shown with Natalie in other group settings throughout the carousel.
Judge and Samantha have known each other since their school years and married in 2021. Their appearance alongside McMahon and other members of the Yankees circle provided a rare public snapshot of the captain in a relaxed team-family setting.
McMahon’s post shows another side of Yankees clubhouse
The Yankees’ season is usually measured through standings, injuries, roster moves and what happens at the Stadium. Natalie’s photos captured something that does not appear in a box score: the network around the players themselves.
The gathering included connections to veterans such as Judge, Bellinger, Rodón and Grisham, along with younger Yankees including Rice, Wells, Jones and Escarra. That mix made the post a cross-section of the current Bronx Bombets clubhouse and the families around it.
For McMahon, the carousel also showed how quickly his family has become part of that group. Natalie’s post drew thousands of likes and a string of warm responses from Yankees partners, with Samantha Judge’s message among the most recognizable.
On a team carrying the usual pressure of an AL East and postseason race, the photos offered a quieter scene: Yankees players and their families sharing a night together away from the ballpark.
