After New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge made baseball history with his 62nd home run in Arlington, Texas, he specifically mentioned unwavering support from his wife Samantha Bracksieck. While speaking to the New York Post, the slugger credited her calm demeanor and steady presence, unfazed by the pressure, as a key factor throughout the chase.

When Judge ended his brief free agency with a nine-year, $360 million deal with the Yankees at Yankee Stadium, Samantha was again at his side. Then many analysts and fans credit it to her for getting Judge back to New York. During the press presentation, the Yankees captain conveyed his appreciation for his wife and shared that the couple chose to remain in New York City, feeling a strong sense of belonging there.

Bracksieck has consistently supported Judge as he continues to make his mark in baseball history. Their love blossomed in high school and continued as the slugger made his debut. However, it was not until 2014, when many came to know about their relationship that an Instagram post brought to the public. Judge and Samantha got married in 2021.

Here are the details about Samantha Bracksieck and her relationship with Yankees slugger Aaron Judge.

Samantha met Judge in high school

Judge and Samantha, who have been together since their high school days in Linden, California, went on to attend Fresno State University after graduating in 2010, reports indicate. At Linden High School, the slugger excelled as a multi-sport athlete, showcasing his talents in football, basketball, and baseball.

Samantha studied kinesiology

During her time at Fresno State, Samantha Bracksieck received recognition in 2017 for her exemplary master’s thesis in kinesiology, a study of muscles to diagnose and treat the causes of ‘imbalances’ in the body. Her acclaimed research, “Posterior Elbow Angle During the Movement Phase of Throwing in Relation to the Susceptibility of UCL Injury in Major League Baseball Players,” focused on examining elbow ligament injuries among MLB players.

Their relationship made official in 2014

Aaron Judge and Samantha Bracksieck, together since their high school years, keep their relationship largely out of the public eye, rarely posting about their personal lives on social media, according to Judge’s Instagram.

Bracksieck first appeared on Judge’s Instagram in November 2014, when he posted a photo collage of them running a Thanksgiving Day 5K with his parents. In the caption, Judge expressed his gratitude, wished everyone a happy Thanksgiving, and encouraged them to be thankful for what they have.

Her only other appearance on his Instagram was in July 2022, when the couple visited Los Angeles during the MLB All-Star Break. Judge shared a series of photos from the trip, thanking Yankee fans and supporters for an incredible year and expressing his eagerness to return to the field for the second half of the season.

Samantha weds Judge in 2021

Aaron Judge and Samantha Bracksieck were married in an intimate ceremony at the Montage Kapalua Bay Resort in Maui, Hawaii, on Dec. 13, 2021, according to the Daily Mail. The couple exchanged vows beneath a beautiful arch adorned with flowers and greenery. Samantha wore a detailed, form-fitting gown, while Judge opted for a traditional black tuxedo.

Despite not publicly announcing their engagement, the ceremony was attended by close friends and family, including several of Judge’s New York Yankees teammates. Gary Sanchez, Luis Cessa, and Gleyber Torres were among the guests, as seen in photos shared on Twitter.

Samantha and Judge enjoy sports — not just baseball

Aaron Judge and Samantha Bracksieck, who tend to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, are frequently seen attending various sporting events, reports and sightings indicate.

In November 2019, they were spotted on the sidelines at a Fresno State football game, their shared alma mater. A few years later, the couple was photographed courtside with comedian Trevor Noah during an NBA Playoff game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Boston Celtics.

Their enthusiasm for sports also includes tennis, as they attended the US Open in both 2022 and 2023. Most recently, in October 2023, Judge and Samantha were seen courtside at Madison Square Garden for a New York Knicks game against the Boston Celtics.

Samantha and Judge do charity

Aaron Judge and Samantha Bracksieck, known for their dedication to community service, visited Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera County, California, in November 2019, ABC 30 reported. During their visit, they brought joy to young cancer patients through cheerful conversations and humor.

This visit was part of Judge’s efforts with his foundation, ALL RISE, founded in 2018. The foundation aims to inspire and empower youth to become responsible citizens through initiatives like leadership programs, grants, and baseball camps.

Samantha runs Marathons

Aaron Judge has been a steadfast supporter of his wife, Samantha Bracksieck, as she ran in the New York City Marathon in both 2022 and 2023, according to reports and sightings.

In November 2022, Judge was seen embracing Samantha at the finish line, celebrating her accomplishment. When she competed again the following year, Judge was there once more, greeting her with a warm hug and a proud smile at the finish line.

Judge’s teammate, Anthony Rizzo, also attended the marathon to cheer on his wife, Emily, who had sought advice from Samantha. Emily told the New York Post in October 2023 that she leaned on Samantha for guidance, asking numerous questions about training, the event, and attire. The two even ran together, with Samantha providing valuable support and sharing her experiences.
