In a non-surprising announcement on Sunday, Aaron Judge, the star outfielder for the New York Yankees, revealed on Twitter that he would not be traveling to Seattle for the highly anticipated 2023 All-Star Game.

Following the Yankees’ 7-4 loss to the Cubs, Aaron Judge expressed his gratitude to the fans who had voted him in as a starter for the game, acknowledging the honor of being among such exceptional players. He expressed his desire to use the time off to heal and get back on the field as soon as possible, emphasizing his commitment to his team and the fans who support him. The towering slugger’s absence from the game in Seattle undoubtedly disappointed fans who were eagerly anticipating his powerful presence on the field.

I wanted to take the time to say thank you to all the fans who voted me in as a starter for the 2023 All-Star game in Seattle. I feel truly blessed to be included in this group of outstanding players- it is an honor to be among those names. Unfortunately, I will not be making the trip to Seattle. I plan to take this time to heal and rehab, so I can get back on the field for my team and all of you. Again, I can’t thank the fans of MLB enough-you are all a huge part of what makes this game so great, and I cannot wait to get back out there.

Aaron Judge made sure to express his deep appreciation for the unwavering support he has received from the MLB fanbase. Recognizing the fans as an integral part of the game, he conveyed his eagerness to return and continue contributing to the sport that brings so much joy to millions.
