The New York Yankees wrapped up their annual HOPE Week with a lively celebration blending dance and social media engagement. The event featured a collaboration with Instagram and TikTok personality @kidthewiz and students from Dance to Unite, resulting in a dance video shared across the team’s social media platforms. Participants in the video were given the opportunity to attend batting practice before the Yankees’ series opener against the Atlanta Braves at Yankee Stadium.
Dance to Unite, the spotlighted nonprofit organization, leverages dance and guided discussions to teach respect, cultural diversity, and kindness to 265 elementary and middle school students from underserved New York City communities. Founder Galit Adani emphasized that their mission prioritizes peace, kindness, and collaboration over perfecting dance routines.

Fourth-grader Shinquing Huang, a participant in the program, shared that the most significant lesson she learned was the importance of kindness and acceptance despite cultural differences.
The Yankees reinforced their support by donating $10,000 to Dance to Unite, which has positively impacted over 2,000 students since its establishment in October 2009. In addition, New York stars Gerrit Cole, Anthony Volpe, and Anthony Rizzo appeared on The Today Show to promote HOPE Week.

Since its inception in 2009, HOPE Week has raised over $1 million for various charitable causes, highlighting the Yankees’ dedication to community involvement and social responsibility.
As the New York Yankees concluded their 15th annual HOPE (Helping Others Persevere & Excel) Week, pitcher Gerrit Cole reflected on the meaningful impact of the team’s community outreach efforts. He stressed the significance of utilizing their platform to create inspiring moments within the limited time they have.
