Will Major League Baseball treat his obscene gesture toward the Padres dugout as a disciplinary matter?
The moment, captured during Sunday’s 4-3 loss at Petco Park, circulated widely Monday after Jomboy Media and Talkin’ Yanks posted broadcast footage. It comes less than four months after MLB suspended Milwaukee reliever Abner Uribe for making crotch-chop gestures toward the St. Louis Cardinals’ dugout.
What the San Diego footage leaves unanswered
The social-media clips establish the basic incident but do not provide a verified explanation of Bellinger’s intent. The exact inning, preceding play and intended recipient have not been established by the available reporting.
No confirmed account from Bellinger, Aaron Boone or a Padres player explains the exchange.
Jomboy Media framed the moment as another example of Bellinger’s unusual on-field personality. Its Sept. 7 post accompanied the video with a short observation.

MLB’s Uribe decision supplies a concrete precedent
