The Mets will Play the Yankees in the First of a Two-game Series

New York Yankees vs. New York Mets: Domingo German vs. Max Scherzer

Sunday’s win was much-needed, but the Yankees still have a ways to go to end their skid. The next few days will be tough as the Mets visit.

Monday is the first game of a two-game series between the New York Yankees and the New York Mets at Yankee Stadium.

New York is 43-20 at home and has a 74-48 record overall. The Yankees are 41-20 in games when they get at least eight hits.

The game on Monday will be the third meeting between these two teams during the current season.

Domingue Germán takes on Max Scherzer on Monday (7:05 PM ET)

Germán’s season debut was disastrous, but he’s been decent since. His last start wasn’t great, allowing three runs in 4.2 innings, but it kept the Yankees close.

On Tuesday, Frankie Montas will take on an opponent who has yet to be determined (7:05 PM ET)

Montas has allowed 6 earned runs in two of his three Yankee starts. In his last start, five of those runs came in one big burst, but it still wasn’t a great outing.

Andrew Benintendi has a batting average of .300, which places him 12th on the Yankees’ team. He also has 52 walks, 21 doubles, three triples, four home runs, and 46 RBI. Jose Trevino is 10 for 31 in the last 10 games.

In their last 10 games, the Yankees went 3-7, hit .196, had a 3.90 ERA, and lost by 20 runs.
