With two outs and the bases empty, Guardians center fielder Angel Martínez sent a foul ball toward the right-field wall. Judge tracked the ball perfectly and leaped at the precise moment. The Yankees refused to accept the initial ruling.

New York immediately requested a replay challenge. They argued fan interference had occurred. Following a quick umpire consultation, the original call was reversed. Martínez was declared out. Judge earned his defensive out without completing the catch.

This offensive explosion has positioned him as the early MVP favorite once again. The Yankees improved to 37-22 with Judge providing leadership both statistically and in the clubhouse.
