Joey Gallo, former New York Yankees first baseman now with the Washington Nationals, is set to become a father this fall, according to reports from TMZ.
Joey Gallo and his partner, dancer and choreographer Hayden Hopkins, announced their planned pregnancy following false rumors involving Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis, 69.

Heyden Hopkins, 26, has an impressive resume including performances with Cirque Du Soleil, Jason Derulo, and “Good Morning America.” She revealed her pregnancy news on Instagram on April 25, captioning a baby bump photo with “baby.” In a subsequent post, she dispelled the false rumors, confirming Joey Gallo as the father.
Rumors emerged on Monday when X (formerly known as Twitter) user Dov Kleiman, with over 289,000 followers, unintentionally linked Hopkins to Davis in a since-deleted post. “Congrats! 26-year-old Hayden Hopkins, girlfriend of Raiders owner Mark Davis (70), is pregnant,” Kleiman wrote, incorrectly stating Davis’ age, according to The New York Post. “Happy for the power couple.”
Hopkins had been photographed sitting next to Davis at a Raiders game in December 2022. At the time, she clarified on Instagram that Davis was a “neighbor/friend,” reported The U.S. Sun.
Responding to the widespread rumors, Hopkins took to social media to clear the air. “Reports of Mark Davis being the father of my child are wildly untrue,” Hopkins wrote on Monday.
“I was pictured sitting next to him at a game in 2022 and have endured false rumors of a romantic relationship since. I was just a guest sitting in the owner’s box with other friends. These continued media stories are negatively affecting what should be my happiest days. Joey and I are excited to welcome our baby in the fall.”

Gallo, who has hit 202 career home runs, played for the Yankees after being acquired at the 2021 trade deadline. His performance (140 games, 501 plate appearances) included a batting average of .159 with 25 home runs and 46 RBIs.
The Yankees traded Gallo to the Dodgers on Aug. 2, 2022. He has since played for the Minnesota Twins and Nationals, currently batting .138/.266/.303 with four home runs and seven RBIs in 33 games (128 plate appearances) in 2024.
