Aaron Judge is chasing the 61-year-old AL home-run record. And from fans and analysts to managers and franchise owners, the whole MLB fraternity is after the slugger. While the Yankees have the resolve to keep him in New York, the Giants are readying a big offer to entice away Judge to San Francisco.

Will Judge stay at Yankee Stadium or make a move to Oracle Park?

After the conclusion of the current season, the San Francisco Giants are planning to make a splash in free agency by signing Judge, one of their hometown heroes.

Bob Nightengale of USA Today warned the Yankees that the Giants would try to most prolific hitter and outfielder. This is going pose a challenge for the New York.

Aaron turned down a seven-year, $230 million contract before Opening Day and will be free to sign with any team after the 2022 World Series.

The San Francisco Giants are ready with plans to spend a lot of money in the offseason. Next year, they only have $96.5 million on the books. If they can’t get Aaron Judge, the big fish, they would love to get one of the best shortstops on the market.

The judge is in the midst of an incredible walk season. He is currently in first place in Major League Baseball with 55 home runs and 121 runs batted in.

He is on his way to hitting at least 63 home runs this season. This will put him in an exclusive club and surpass the American League record that Roger Maris set in 1961 when he hit 61 home runs.

Judge, who was born in California, grew up in the Bay Area. His potential links with the Giants became subject to rumors when he recently commented that Barry Bonds’ 73 home runs in 2001 were the most “legitimate” record for home runs in a single season. He considers Bond his hero.

“Oh, yeah,” Judge told, “That’s the record; I watched him do it; I stayed up late watching him do it; That’s the record. No one can take that from him.”

According to the New York Post, on Wednesday, when asked about that topic, Judge, who is originally from the Bay Area, doubled down. He was quoted saying:

“The record’s the record. That’s what I go by. I watched him as a kid flip the ball into the bay with ease. That hasn’t changed.”

Shohei Ohtani, the second-highest home-run hitter this season, plays for the Los Angeles Angels. He is also in contention for the American League Most Valuable Player award despite the fact that Judge is the front-runner for the award. The Giants may turn to him if they fail to sign Aaron.

Will Judge leave the Yankees for the Giants? Are fans going to accept it?
