Germán threw four scoreless innings with Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes/Barre
Domingo Germán might be able to return to the Yankees in the near future.
With the recent injuries to Luis Servino and Miguel Castro, this is great news for the New York Yankees.
After his latest rehab outing last Saturday, the right-hander, who has been on the 60-day injured list since spring training with right shoulder impingement syndrome, says he feels ready to return to the big league club.
Last Saturday, Germán pitched four innings (53 pitches total) for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, allowing one hit and striking out four.
Feel really good. It was a good start, feel good physically
Germán said through an interpreter in New York on Sunday afternoon.
Germán went on to say that he hasn’t been told what his next steps will be, such as whether he’ll continue his rehab assignment or join the Yankees’ pitching staff. Manager Aaron Boone later stated that the coaching staff will have a discussion.
