Five players in the New York Yankees organization have chosen to become free agents. They are Anthony Banda, Luke Bard, Jacob Barnes, and Chi Chi González, as well as infielder Ronald Guzmán.
All five of these players can choose to become free agents because they were not on the 40-man roster at the end of the season, but they have at least three years of MLB service, have been sent outright more than once, or have played in the minor leagues for at least seven years.
The MiLB transactions tracker has listed these five pitchers, who now look for greener pastures away from the Yankees.
