On Monday, the Minnesota Twins will play host to the New York Yankees as the first game in a three-game set. And their biggest hope is another excellent show by Jhony Brito to bounce back from the series loss to the Blue Jays.

The four-game series between the Yankees and the Twins in the Bronx ended in a 2-2 tie. It began with two consecutive losses for the Yankees, who came back with two strong performances led by Gerrit Cole and  Domingo German to prevent the series loss.

Yankees to start with Jhony Brito


Brito will make his fifth start of the season for the Yankees. He is 2-1, has a 5.40 ERA, and has struck out 11 batters in 15 2/3 innings. The right-hander’s last game was on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Angels. He went 4 1/3 innings and gave up three hits and one earned run. When Brito starts this season, the Yankees have always been a favorite in terms of money. In the four games Brito has started, his team is 3-1.

In this game, Brito hopes to make his third start of the season in which he plays at least five innings. However, in his last start against the Twins, Brito gave up seven runs and six hits in two-thirds of an inning.
