New York Yankees @ Baltimore Orioles: Jhony Brito vs. Cole Irvin

The New York Yankees and the Baltimore Orioles are competing in a three-game series, with the Orioles currently holding a 1-0 series lead. After a thrilling first game that ended in the Yankees’ 7-6 defeat in Baltimore, the two teams are ready for the Game 2 face-off on Saturday.

Time: 7:05 p.m. EDT.

Where: Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Baltimore.

TV: NBC Sports Bay Area, YES Network.

Stream: MLB.tv, DirecTv

Moneyline: Yankees -128, Orioles +108; over/under is 9 runs.

Pitching matchup: Jhony Brito will start for the Yankees while the Orioles are to start with Cole Irvin.

Last season, New York’s overall record was 99-63, and their road record was 42-39. Then, the Yankees averaged 8.1 hits per game and hit .241 as a team. Their slugging percentage was .426.

Yankees to start with Jhony Brito

After their bullpen faltered in the first game, the New York Yankees made a quick yet significant roster change. They have recalled right-handed pitcher Jhony Brito from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre to start Game 2 against the Orioles.

Jhony Brito is at the mound against the Giants on April 2, 2023, at Yankee Stadium.

When Brito started for the first time this season, he helped his team achieve a shutdown of the Giants. The right-handed pitcher’s last game was Sunday against the San Francisco Giants. He went five innings and didn’t give up a run.

Yankees Injured List: Josh Donaldson, Lou Trivino, Harrison Bader, Carlos Rodon, Luis Severino, Frankie Montas, Luis Gil, Scott Effross, Ben Rortvedt, Tommy Kahnle.
