SEATTLE – Following a significant contribution in 26 games, Harrison Bader‘s journey takes an unfortunate turn as he is set to return to the injured list.

In Tuesday’s developments, the center fielder found himself placed on the injured list due to a right hamstring strain sustained during Monday’s victorious game against the Mariners at T-Mobile Park.

To fill the vacant spot on the roster left by Harrison Bader, the Yankees made the decision to call up Franchy Cordero from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Aaron Boone addressed the media a couple of hours prior to the game and mentioned that the extent of Harrison Bader’s injury was still unknown as they were waiting for the results of the MRI exam he underwent on Tuesday.

However, approximately an hour later, the Yankees made an official announcement regarding the roster move, confirming that Franchy Cordero would be activated.

During the third inning of Monday’s game, Harrison Bader sustained the injury while hustling down the baseline and reaching first base with an infield single.

While stationed at first base, Harrison Bader attempted to alleviate the discomfort by stretching and testing his injured leg. Manager Aaron Boone and a trainer noticed his actions and promptly approached him for a brief discussion, ultimately deciding to remove Harrison Bader from the game.

Following a 30-game absence due to a strained oblique, Harrison Bader made a triumphant return as a catalyst for the team. He showcased his abilities by batting .267 with an impressive .806 OPS, contributing six stolen bases, and exhibiting stellar defensive skills in center field.

On Tuesday, Greg Allen assumed the starting role in center field, but there is also a possibility of Aaron Judge and Isiah Kiner-Falefa taking on that position in Bader’s absence.
