For the first time since September 17, 2020, the New York Yankees pulled off the rare feat of back-to-back-to-back home runs, stunning the Colorado Rockies and catching the attention of none other than Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

The game ended with an impressive 10-3 win over the Rockies.

The seventh-inning surge began with Juan Soto’s solo shot into the Yankees’ bullpen, marking his 37th home run of the season, a new career high. Aaron Judge followed with a homer that barely cleared the right-field wall, his second of the game and 51st of the season. Giancarlo Stanton wrapped up the trio with the most impressive blast, sending the ball deep into Monument Park in center field.

This marked the first time since 2020 that the Yankees had gone back-to-back-to-back, when Brett Gardner, DJ LeMahieu, and Luke Voit achieved the feat. But this time, the power display reached beyond Yankee Stadium, grabbing the attention of Mahomes, who retweeted a post about the feat on X.com (formerly known as Twitter). The Chiefs’ star quarterback, not known as a Yankees fan, simply posted three fire emojis, signaling his admiration for the Bronx Bombers’ display.

As the Yankees continue their push towards the playoffs, this powerful performance, which covered a combined 1,214 feet of home runs, serves as a reminder of the team’s potential to light up the scoreboard. With Aaron Judge chasing another home run record and Juan Soto in career-best form, the Yankees are proving that their lineup can still deliver fireworks when it matters most.
