I always thought because of his wife’s residency, Montgomery was always a real possibility to sign with the Red Sox. The chance to sleep with his wife on a regular basis, sounds to me as good a reason as any to sign there. Oh yes, the money he might make elsewhere won’t be too significant to sway him.
