Chris Sale ha estado tratando de parecerse a su antiguo as en medio de su rehabilitación en una colina de las Grandes Ligas.

Tras pasar apuros en una salida de rehabilitación con Triple-A Worcester, el zurdo, de 33 años, decidió descargar su frustración por todo lo que veía en el banquillo. Sale fue en 3 2/3 entradas con cinco bateadores en su cuarto inicio de rehabilitación.

Sale, que ha tenido rabietas en el montículo y en el banquillo en el pasado, pensó que su última rabieta había sido en privado. Aunque asumió la responsabilidad de sus actos, no le hizo ninguna gracia que se grabaran y pudieran verse.

Desde que firmó su extensión de contrato por cinco años y 145 millones de dólares en 2019, Sale solo ha lanzado 42 2/3 entradas con los Medias Rojas. Poco después de la extensión, se perdió toda la temporada En 2019 con una infección en el codo y todo el 2020 después de someterse a una cirugía de Tommy John, actualmente se está recuperando de una fractura por estrés en su costilla derecha sufrida mientras bateaba en febrero.

En sus cuatro salidas en rehabilitación esta temporada, Sale tiene una ERA de 2,38 y ha golpeado a 19 bateadores en 11 1/3 entradas.
