Aaron Judge’s standout performance against the Boston Red Sox on Friday not only sealed a thrilling win for the New York Yankees but also solidified his place in Major League Baseball’s record books. While his grand slam was the highlight of the game, Aaron Judge’s overall achievement carried historic significance.

According to Katie Sharp from Sports Reference, Aaron Judge now joins an exclusive group with only two other legends—Barry Bonds and Babe Ruth—who have achieved at least 50 home runs, 30 doubles, 120 walks, and 130 RBIs in a single season. Bonds hit those marks in 2001, while Ruth accomplished it twice, in 1920 and 1921.

Aaron Judge became just the fourth player in MLB history to record a season with 50 or more home runs, 30 or more doubles, 120 or more walks, and 130 or more RBIs. This rare blend of power, consistency, and discipline at the plate places him in elite company.

Aaron Judge on a roll

Aaron Judge’s achievement comes with added significance given the stage—a fierce rivalry matchup against the Red Sox. His final line of 2-for-4, including a grand slam and a walk, powered the Yankees to a comeback victory.

At 31, Aaron Judge is still in the prime of his career, and his potential to replicate this level of success remains high. His latest feat not only solidifies his status as one of baseball’s current stars but also hints at a future that could see him ranked among the all-time greats if he continues on this trajectory.

Aaron Judge‘s stellar season continues to amaze, as his recent performance pushed him to 120 walks and 130 RBIs. A grand slam during the game not only electrified the crowd at Yankee Stadium but further emphasized Judge’s dominance in Major League Baseball this year. Boasting a .321 batting average, alongside 52 home runs and a league-leading RBI total, his offensive prowess has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Speculation is building that Aaron Judge could surpass his own record of 62 home runs, set in 2022, a feat that stands as the highest in MLB history outside of the “Steroid Era” of the late ’90s and early 2000s.

Even before reaching this milestone, Aaron Judge was widely considered a top contender for his second MVP award. Though Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. remains competitive with high WAR numbers, a superior batting average, and standout stolen base stats, the slugger’s overall offensive command makes him a frontrunner in the MVP race.

Aaron Judge’s incredible season not only strengthens his place among the current baseball elite but also hints at a future where he may be counted among the game’s all-time greats if he continues performing at this level.
