Even when things aren’t going well for the New York Yankees, you won’t catch Aaron Judge blaming his teammates for the team’s failures.
So far in the 2022 playoffs, the media has been right to question the Yankees’ offensive strategy and execution. The team has only scored four runs in the first two games of the American League Championship Series against the Houston Astros, and two of those runs came because pitcher Framber Valdez made mistakes.
In spite of this, Aaron Judge has not lost faith in his squad. He is of the opinion that the Yankees have a respectable opportunity to emerge victorious from the championship series provided that each player on the roster performs the duties assigned to them.
“We’ve been in this spot before. Every single guy in this room knows what they need to do to get us to the next step,” SNY tweeted, the quotes being from Aaron Judge.
Aaron Judge started off the postseason by striking out a lot, but he is now making better contact with the ball.
However, he cannot accomplish this goal on his own. If multiple Yankees batters can break out of their respective slides and put together a string of productive at-bats, then there is reason to be optimistic about the team’s chances.
The Yankees offense in slide
The fact that each player in the Yankees lineup is currently facing a unique challenge at the plate is the primary cause of the team’s current offensive struggles.
Oswaldo Cabrera‘s strike zone is getting bigger, and he isn’t even making contact with pitches that are in the strike zone. Giancarlo Stanton is still searching for his timing at the plate, despite the fact that he has already hit two home runs in the playoffs.
Gleyber Torres seems confused. Jose Trevino is not good compared to his earlier record. Matt Carpenter has 0 for 7. Last night, when the game was on the line in the ninth inning, his swing choices were terrible.
How do you see Aaron Judge’s confidence and comments despite a faltering Yankees’ offense?
