YES Network DTC is officially unveiled on Wednesday as the Yankees and their fan are ready for a memorable 2023 opening day at Yankee Stadium. Yankees fans in the tri-state region and northeastern Pennsylvania will soon be able to watch games without having to subscribe to cable or satellite.
YES Network has announced the introduction of its Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) subscription service, which will provide coverage to everything on the channel, including Yankees, Nets, and Liberty games.
“We are pleased to introduce a direct subscription option,” according to a statement released by YES Network CEO Jon D. Litner about YES Network DTC.
“For more than 20 years, YES has provided fans with a best-in-class sports viewing experience. Fans continue to tune in to and engage with YES in record numbers for the most in-depth and most innovative coverage of our teams and our other award-winning programming.”
“With this new YES Network DTC offering, we are broadening our reach by making YES available to more fans in our regional footprint than ever before.”
Earlier Andrew Marchand of The Post reported that YES Network DTC was getting ready and its unveiling was likely to be before Opening Day.
YES Network DTC pricing
The YES Network DTC platform will cost $24.99 per month or $239.99 per year. Anyone who signs up before the end of April will pay $19.99 per month or $199.99 for a year.
The product is for people who live in the area covered by YES. It is not a solution for Yankees fans who live outside of that area, who can still watch the team on MLB.TV or MLB Extra Innings.
Regional sports networks like YES have been among the biggest losers in the “cord-cutting” era when people stop getting cable and satellite packages. The RSNs have lost even more money than some other cable networks because Dish Network and YouTube TV mostly don’t carry them.
How to watch 2023 Yankees games live streaming without a cable connection?
Fans now have more ways to watch 2023 Yankees games live streaming. Even those Yankees fans, who don’t have cable connections, can watch their team’s games live.
As the Yankees set to start their 2023 season, the YES Network has a direct-feed agreement with DIRECTV Stream making it the other available service to watch Yankees 2023 games live streaming. Hulu, FuboTV, and Sling haven’t had any agreement with the regional sports network for the past three seasons.
Fans in the area who want to watch 2023 Yankees games live streaming without getting a cable connection can sign up for DirectTV Stream here. They should sign up for the Choice package or one of the options above it. The Basic Entertainment package does not include regional sports networks.
