Astros lead Yankees 2-0 heading into ALCS Game 3

During the regular season, the New York Yankees finished first in the American League East with a record of 99-63. They faced off against the Houston Astros (106-56, first in the AL West during the regular season).

When: Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022.

Time: 5:07 p.m. Eastern.

Where: Yankee Stadium, New York (50,287).

TV: TBS.

Moneyline: Yankees -146, Astros +124.

Pitching matchup: Gerrit Cole (13-8, 3.50 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, 257 strikeouts) vs. Cristian Javier (11-9, 2.54 ERA, .95 WHIP, 194 strikeouts).

On Saturday, Game 3 of the American League Championship Series will be played between the New York Yankees and the Houston Astros. The Astros currently hold a commanding lead in the series, 2-0.

Overall, New York has a record of 99-63 and is 57-24 in their own stadium. The batters for the Yankees have a combined .324 on-base percentage, good for fifth best in all of Major League Baseball play.

Houston has a record of 51-30 on the road and an overall record of 106-56. Hitters for the Astros have a combined slugging percentage of .423, which places them third in the American League.
