The New York Yankees’ standout player, Aaron Judge, has given an update on the toe injury that has sidelined him since June 4th. This is the first time he has shared any information about his injury.
As reported by Chris Kirchner of The Athletic, Aaron Judge confirmed that he tore a ligament in his toe and still feels discomfort while walking.
Yankees’ coach contradicts statements on Judge’s injury progress
The latest news contradicts what the Yankees coach Aaron Boone said two days ago. He had mentioned that he would be hitting and throwing over the weekend.
At first, the Yankees stated that Aaron Judge was placed on the IL because of a contusion and sprained ligament in his right big toe.
On Saturday, Manager Aaron Boone informed reporters that he has faith in Aaron Judge’s return this season but did not disclose a specific date. In addition, he mentioned that Aaron Judge is an incredibly resilient individual eager to return to the field.
Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports that Aaron Judge’s return to play will rely on his pain tolerance due to a ligament injury in his toe that affects his running and pushing-off ability. It is uncertain when he will fully recover, but Hoch suggests that he may be fit by the time of the All-Star game.
Aaron Judge sustained an injury while making a fantastic catch during a match against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium on June 3rd. He collided with the right field wall and broke the bullpen door, which led to the Yankees keeping him out of the lineup for a few days. Judge was then placed on the IL and has been there ever since.
This is Aaron Judge’s second time on the IL this season, as he previously missed time due to a hip strain in late April and early May.

I don’t like the fact that the public has been lied to as to the severity of the injury, all along being told just a sprain and now we’re told it is a torn ligament
First off Boone and Cashman need to go! Cashman pays too dollar for all has-bens and veterans who do nothing when they get to New York. He never recruits the up and coming. Second, Stanton and Donaldson need to go. DJ LeMaiue needs to stay. He’s a great hitter and should be leading off. They are literally screwing with his head by benching him and putting pressure on him to perform. He will! Leave him alone! Volpe is a great addition do not return him to triple A. He’s the next Jeter! Stay with the young ones IKF, Cabrera.
They lied to the public those are the fans they have no idea when he’s coming back he could be out for weeks. Aaron Boone needs s to go he is no manager
