New York Yankees vs. San Diego Padres: Randy Vasquez vs. Joe Musgrove

The New York Yankees (30-22) are in third place in the American League East, while the San Diego Padres have a record of 23-27 and are in fourth place in the National League West. On Friday, the first of three games between these two teams will be played at Yankee Stadium between the New York Yankees and the San Diego Padres.

When: Friday, May 26, 2023.

Time: 7:05 p.m. EDT.

Where: Yankee Stadium, New York City, (50,287).

TV: NBC Sports Bay Area, YES Network

Stream: MLB.tv, Direct Tv, YES Network DTC

MoneyLine: Padres -125, Yankees +105; over/under is 9 runs.

Pitching matchup: Randy Vasquez will start for the Yankees while the Padres have Joe Musgrove as their starter.

The New York Yankees have been showing off their skills with a good 30-22 record overall and an amazing 17-12 record at home. Their power is especially clear in games where they keep their opponents from hitting home runs. In those games, they have a 17-4 record, which is very good.

Even though they have had some problems, the San Diego Padres have kept a 23-27 overall record and a solid 11-12 road record. But they have had trouble in games where their opponents hit home runs, which is why they have a 12–20 record in those situations. When they play the Yankees in the next game, the Padres will try to change their luck.

The highly anticipated Friday’s game marks the inaugural matchup of the season between these two teams. Both the New York Yankees and the San Diego Padres will step onto the field, eager to showcase their skills and establish an early edge in this thrilling encounter. The fans can expect an exhilarating clash as these teams meet for the first time this year.

Over their last 10 games, the New York Yankees have been in excellent form, securing an impressive 7-3 record. Despite a batting average of .221, their pitching staff has truly shined with a stellar 2.93 ERA. Not only have they managed to outscore their opponents, but they have also accumulated an impressive run differential of 11 runs. The Yankees’ recent performance indicates a strong and well-rounded team ready to take on the challenges that lie ahead.

Yankees to start with Randy Vasquez

In an exciting development, Vasquez, a talented 24-year-old right-handed pitcher, is set to make his first start of the season for the New York Yankees. This will mark his highly anticipated MLB debut, a moment that holds great significance for both Vasquez and his team. It’s worth noting that in the previous season, whenever Vasquez took the mound, he and his team were considered underdogs on the moneyline for each game. This adds an intriguing element to his upcoming start as he aims to make a strong impression and defy the odds once again.

Yankees Injured List: Jose Trevino, Ian Hamilton, Jonathan Loaisiga, Lou Trivino, Giancarlo Stanton, Tommy Kahnle, Josh Donaldson, Frankie Montas, Carlos Rodon, Luis Gil, Scott Effross.
