Aaron Judge narrowly missed the Triple Crown after Luis Arraez topped the batting title in the American League. This prompted the Twins to post messages that looked like they are trolling Aaron Judge. The Yankees fans jumped onto social media to defend their superstar and Minnesota’s misadventure backfired.

Aaron Judge was the MLB leader in home runs and RBIs. However, Arraez’s two-run double in the third inning in a 10-1 win of Wednesday’s game against the Chicago White Sox cemented his position as the best batter in the American League with a batting average of.316.

Aaron Judge ended the season with a batting average of .311. Thus, the second baseman for the Minnesota Twins prevented the New York Yankees slugger from winning the prestigious Triple Crown, which has only been won a total of 12 times by 10 different players in the history of the major leagues.

As soon as the final day of the season was over, the Twins made the most of their opportunity to tease Aaron Judge on Twitter. A post by the Minnesota franchise had a caption saying “ALL ARREZ!!!,” which is a play on Judge’s popular catchphrase “All Rise” and a crown emoji is added to the caption.

This didn’t go down well with the Yankees fans and Aaron Judge’s supporters. They took to Twitter to grind the Twins.

Arraez, who is 25 years old, won the battle title. He is the fifth in the Minnesota franchise’s history to do so, joining the ranks of Rod Carew, Tony Oliva, Joe Mauer, and Kirby Puckett.

Arraez and the Twins ended their regular season on the losing side with a 78-84 record. Thus, Minnesota didn’t qualify for the postseason. On the other hand, the Yankees went 99-63 in the regular season and became the AL East champions. They are now getting ready to compete for potentially their 28th World Series title in the history of the franchise.

Since 2003, the Twins have made eight post-season appearances but never went beyond the Division Series. The Yankees always dominated them and had a 6-0 record against them.

Who exactly has the last laugh in this scenario? Aaron Judge is to decide in the playoffs.
