The New York Yankees beat the Detroit Tigers 6-3 in a spring training game on Tuesday. However, they have an unfair advantage.
In the top of the ninth, the Yankees have a 10th man. He was a fan in the outfield stands and acted as if he was playing in the outfield.
Even though the fan wasn’t wearing a Yankees uniform, he was wearing a navy blue bandana with the interlocking “NY” logo. He also wore a black long-sleeve dri-fit, purple shorts, black leggings, and a fanny pack, which are the ultimate signs of being at the top of your athletic game.
The fan also had his outfielder’s glove ready to go and was getting into an athletic stance for every pitch.
Andy Ibanez of the Tigers struck out, so the fan packed up his things and ran fast to right field to get ready for left-handed switch-hitter Andrew Knapp, who was up next.
This isn’t the first spring game the fan has been to. He went to the Yankees’ spring training complex earlier this month to watch a night game.
Rumors about the Yankees fan
However, there are rumors that he is the same person who stole a Juan Soto home run from a 17-year-old in Kansas City last year.
Mark Kirsch, who is the star of “Man vs. Impossible” on YouTube, was found to be that fan.
The Yankees might be able to use him. Since Harrison Bader started the season on the injured list and Giancarlo Stanton is often a DH when he’s healthy, the Yankees only have Aaron Judge as a good outfielder.
This guy isn’t Zack Hample, who claims to have caught over 10,000 baseballs at MLB games in his life, but he does train like a professional athlete.
