After Two Games, The Series is Tied 1-1
Gerrit Cole was unable to hold a 3-run lead, and relief pitcher Albert Abreu’s wild pickoff throw resulted in Cedric Mullins’ game-winning sacrifice fly, as the Orioles defeated the New York Yankees 6-3 on Saturday.
In the eighth inning, Ramón Uras hit 2 run homer off Shane Greene, who was making his first appearance for the Yankees.
With runners in scoring position, New York went 1 for 14. The Yankees have lost three of their last four matches and eight of their last twelve, dropping their record to 65-31, just one game behind the Los Angeles Dodgers (63-30).
Aaron Judge had four hits and two RBI, tying a career-high. He has a 20-for-54 streak, raising his average to .292.

Since being revived from the injured list, Uras has gone 3 for 4 with six multihit games.
Cionel Pérez (5-1) pitched a scoreless seventh inning, and Jorge López recorded his 18th saves in 22 opportunities. After the first two batters in the ninth inning reached, Anthony Rizzo grounded out, and Gleyber Torres flew out to Ryan McKenna.
Cole (9-3) pitched six innings, allowing four runs (three earned) and nine hits with six strikeouts and two walks.
A 3-0 lead was built by Judge in the first, Carpenter’s homer in the second, and Judge’s bloop RBI single in the fourth.

Mateo tied the game in the seventh inning with an RBI single off a 1-2 slider.
Abreu was relieved and threw past first for an error.
Uras hit a home run off Greene, regarding Michael King’s injury.
