A Subway Series game between the New York Yankees and New York Mets erupted into chaos Tuesday night as fans brawled in the stands at Yanke Stadium, with the violent scene captured on video and shared widely on social media.

The altercation, captured in a video that was later removed from social media, reportedly took place after the Mets’ 3-2 victory over the Yankees on Tuesday night in The Bronx. The footage initially showed two female fans in Yankees apparel scuffling on a Yankee Stadium concourse before the situation escalated into a larger confrontation.

The footage shows multiple fans engaged in a wild melee, throwing punches from various angles. The brawl appeared to involve supporters of both teams, with individuals in Yankees and Mets apparel visible in the fray.

Yankees vs. Mets: Fan fight unfolded

One clip depicts a man in a Yankees jersey throwing haymakers at another fan, while a separate video shows a different pinstriped supporter landing repeated blows on someone wearing Mets colors.

The fight seemed to spread across several rows, with numerous spectators caught up in the chaos. Some fans can be seen attempting to separate the combatants or shield themselves from the violence.

This brawl occurred during the latest installment of the Subway Series, historically known for its intense atmosphere as the cross-town rivals face off. The incident took place as the Yankees hosted the Mets in the Bronx, adding another chapter to the sometimes tumultuous history of fan interactions during these matchups.

The incident intensified when a male fan in a Yankees jersey attempted to intervene, pushing one of the women involved. This action prompted a response from a Mets supporter, who tried to push back the Yankees fan.

The confrontation then devolved into a physical altercation between the two male fans. The Yankees supporter removed his jersey and appeared to land a punch on the Mets fan, briefly knocking him down. Another Yankees fan, wearing an Aaron Judge jersey, then pushed the Mets supporter again.
Meanwhile, the camera panned back to show the two women still grappling on the ground. The shirtless Yankees fan was then seen celebrating his actions, high-fiving nearby spectators and posing for the camera.

Just as the situation seemed to be de-escalating, the Mets fan in a Pete Alonso jersey and another Yankees supporter in gray resumed their altercation. Security personnel and other fans eventually intervened to separate them.

Additional footage of the incident showed the two female fans being pulled apart, with one aggressively shoving the other away. At the end of the second video, stadium staff members arrived. The Mets fan in the blue jersey attempted to engage with a supervisor, but the staff appeared to be focused on dispersing the crowd.

Neither the Yankees nor the Mets organizations had issued official statements regarding the fan violence. The potential impact on security measures for future Subway Series games remains to be seen.

Despite the intensity of the altercation, there were no immediate reports of arrests or serious injuries resulting from the incident. The response from stadium security was not clearly visible in the circulated footage.

The viral nature of the fight videos has sparked widespread discussion on social media about fan behavior and safety at major sporting events, particularly in matchups with heightened rivalries.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the passionate — and sometimes volatile — nature of New York’s baseball fandom, raising questions about how to maintain a spirited yet safe environment for all spectators at these highly anticipated crosstown games.

This was an epically MORONIC display of stupidity on the part of Both Yankee & Mets fans!

I’m a Diehard Yankees fan, but it’s still a game, nitwits!

It’s a GAME, not a morality play! It’s not a war, as some exceedingly stupid sports commentators have idiotically taken to referring to football & baseball & other GAMES!

I’ve loved the Yankees for my entire life, as did my dad, my 2 brothers, and my aunt, and my grandpa.

But I have Great Friends who are Mets fans, and I don’t think less of them for being Mets fans, and I don’t even deny them the right to gloat some over beating the Yankees. Hell, the Yankees were humiliated in this year’s subway series!

And the Mets front office just, basically, bitch slapped Brainless Brian Cashman, showing how quickly they could rebuild a competitive roster when Cashman couldn’t for the 15h wraith year!!!

And Carlos Mendoza just schooled & bitch slapped Boonehead on How to be an Effective Manager.

And in the process of schooling Boone, Mendoza showed (yet again!) What an ABSOLUTE F-ING MORON CASHMAN IS IN JUDGING BASEBALL TALENT, both on field talent & coaching talent.

Brilliant Move, Cashman: keep a Serial Failure of a manager at actually MANAGING players & let an apparently brilliant tactician in Mendoza leave to Humiliate & Expose the Utter Stupidity of our Manager & GM!

Pull your head out of your butt, HAL, and FIRE these two Incompetent Idiots, NOW!

And don’t be Dumb Enough to allow Cashman to convince you that he’s Blameless for the Faulty $300-Million Roster HE Constructed!
