Marcus Stroman, the newest Yankees ace, is known to storm the media glare. However, this time he did it with a noble purpose. The pitcher has committed a sum of $200,000 to help high school students from the Bronx.

According to a press release by educational platform Bold.org, it is in partnership with the Marcus Stroman Height Doesn’t Measure Heart Foundation, will dole out Marcus Stroman Scholarship. This innovative scholarship program aims to empower graduating high school seniors by removing financial hurdles and providing them with the resources to pursue higher education.

Marcus Stroman’s commitment to philanthropy shines through in this initiative. Over the next five years, he’s pledged a commendable $250,000, while Bold.org chips in an extra $50,000. Together, they’ve established a noteworthy scholarship fund totaling $300,000, aimed at empowering deserving youth. In its inaugural year, two deserving Bronx high school seniors will each receive a $25,000 scholarship, ensuring their college expenses for the upcoming academic year (2024-2025) are covered.
