Jazz Chisholm’s performance has been electrifying. After hitting two home runs in his second game on Monday, he followed up with another pair against the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday night. This feat makes him the first player in Yankees history to achieve such a record in his first three games.

On Monday, Jazz Chisholm’s first multi-homer game was particularly unique. He used his usual bat for his first home run in the second inning. Later, with the Yankees leading by eight runs, the Phillies brought in a position player to pitch. Chisholm, who has struggled against non-pitchers in the past, decided to switch to Aaron Judge’s heavier bat, resulting in another home run.

Despite this success, Jazz Chisholm dismissed the idea of continuing to use Judge’s bat. “Definitely not gonna use that again tomorrow,” he said, citing the bat’s weight. Returning to his own equipment on Tuesday, Chisholm continued his power display with two more home runs.

These home runs have placed Jazz Chisholm in rare company. According to Sarah Langs, he joins Trevor Story as the only players in MLB history to hit four home runs in their first three games with a new team. Additionally, Chisholm is the first to have two multi-homer games in his initial trio of contests.

Jazz Chisholm’s second home run on Tuesday proved crucial, giving the Yankees a 5-4 lead in the seventh inning. His explosive start has provided a much-needed boost to the Yankees’ lineup, which has been seeking offensive reinforcements post-trade deadline.

The Yankees acquired Jazz Chisholm at the trade deadline, hoping to bolster their offense. His early performance suggests that the lineup can now offer more substantial support for stars like Aaron Judge and Juan Soto.

While it is unlikely Jazz Chisholm will maintain this home run pace, his contributions thus far have been invaluable. The Yankees will look to continue leveraging his hot streak as they move forward in the season, aiming for a strong finish and a potential playoff run.
