Ranked as the Yankees No. 1 and the 35th top prospect in baseball by MLB Pipeline, the Martian had an impressive performance on Friday night. He hit a home run that soared into the upper deck and also recorded a double. Resulting in a career-high five RBIs. This contribution helped Double-A Somerset secure an 11-4 victory against Hartford.
In the fourth inning, Jasson Dominguez launched a powerful hit that soared high into the night sky. The impressive home run came off right-handed reliever Fineas Del Bonta-Smith. Who had just entered the game. Jasson Dominguez’s three-run shot extended Somerset’s lead to 5-0, showcasing his talent as the top-ranked prospect in the Yankees organization.

With that impressive moonshot, Jasson Domínguez recorded his ninth home run of the year. This remarkable feat also marked his eighth consecutive series with a home run during the six-game set against the Yard Goats. His power-hitting has been consistent and impressive throughout the season.

In Jasson Dominguez’s next at-bat in the sixth inning, he came through with his second hit of the night. Batting from the left side once again, the talented player from the Dominican Republic smacked a line drive down the right-field line, sending the ball into the corner. As the ball bounced around, Jasson Dominguez calmly reached second base, securing a stand-up double. This powerful hit resulted in another two RBIs, bringing his total to five RBIs for the day.
The only other instance where the 20-year-old recorded a higher number of RBIs in a single game was during the Eastern League playoffs last year. In that particular game, Jasson Dominguez launched two baseballs into the sky, propelling them into orbit, and finished the game with an impressive six RBIs.
This season, Jasson Dominguez has maintained a batting average of .208, an on-base percentage of .370, and a slugging percentage of .399. His ability to draw walks has been particularly impressive, with a total of 46 walks in 227 plate appearances. This means he earns a walk in nearly every five plate appearances, a notable improvement compared to last season.
As the Patriots conclude their series against Hartford over the weekend, Jasson Dominguez will have the opportunity to extend his streak when they face the Altoona Curve in their upcoming games at home.
