As Spring Training kicks off in just two weeks and Opening Day looms on March 27, New York Yankees fans are gearing up for an exciting 2025 season.

While some offseason moves may have left fans wanting more, there’s plenty of optimism thanks to key additions following Juan Soto’s departure.

The Yankees are projected to be a top contender in the American League. According to Baseball Prospectus’ PECOTA projections, New York is expected to finish with the best record in the AL, with an estimated 89.7 wins—just ahead of the Orioles (89.2).

But beyond that, the Yankees made significant changes to their roster, signing Cody Bellinger to patrol center field and acquiring Paul Goldschmidt to handle first base. Additionally, Max Fried was a major pitching acquisition, bolstering a rotation that already includes Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodon, Nestor Cortes, and Clarke Schmidt.

Meanwhile, recent reports suggest that Jazz Chisholm Jr. has emerged as the frontrunner for the Yankees’ third base vacancy.

How to Watch the New York Yankees on Cable in 2025

The YES Network remains the primary broadcaster for Yankees games. Fans in the Tri-State area can access YES through several cable providers, including:

  • Altice Optimum
  • AT&T TV NOW
  • Blue Ridge Communications
  • Charter Spectrum
  • Comcast Xfinity
  • Cox Contour TV
  • DirecTV
  • Verizon FiOS

While YES will air most Yankees games, select matchups will also be broadcast nationally on channels like ESPN, FOX, and TBS.

How to Watch the Yankees without cable in 2025

If you don’t have a cable subscription, there are still plenty of ways to catch the Yankees in action. The rise of streaming services has made it easier than ever to follow the team without a traditional cable package.

How to watch on streaming

There are several ways to stream Yankees games. Fans can subscribe to the YES App for $24.99 per month or $239.99 per year to watch games directly. Fubo TV also carries the YES Network, offering another option for Yankees fans. Additionally, Apple TV+ will continue hosting MLB games on Friday nights, with the Yankees expected to appear multiple times. The full schedule has yet to be released, but an Apple TV+ subscription costs $9.99 per month.

How to Listen to Yankees Games on the Radio in 2025

For fans who can’t watch the game, WFAN (660 AM) will provide radio broadcasts featuring Dave Sims and Suzyn Waldman. Yankees radio coverage is widely accessible through the Audacy app and website.

How to watch Yankees games out-of-market

For fans outside the Yankees’ local broadcast region, there are two main options:

  1. YES App Subscription – As mentioned earlier, this allows streaming of Yankees games.
  2. MLB.tv Subscription – This service provides full access to MLB games, with blackout restrictions for local markets.
    • $149.99/year for all teams
    • $129.99/year for a single team (excluding local market games)
    • $29.99/month for full access

The $149.99 full-league package offers the best overall value.

How to order MLB Extra innings

Fans looking for an alternative to MLB.tv can check out MLB Extra Innings, which offers similar access through cable and satellite providers.

Whether you’re watching from home, streaming on the go, or tuning in via radio, there are plenty of ways to catch the Yankees in 2025. Get ready for another exciting season in the Bronx!
