The Hall of Fame Ceremony for Derek Jeter in New York will have three special guests apart from his wife Hannah Jeter. His three daughters Bella 5, Story 3, and 9-month-old Rose will be there at Yankee Stadium to see their dad’s historic milestone in life.
It will be a night to remember for the whole family and fans of Captain Clutch.
Before the ceremony on Friday night to induct the retired shortstop into the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Derek Jeter shared a video of himself in the car with his wife Hannah Jeter and their two older daughters, Story Grey and Bella Raine.
“Guys, are you guys excited to go to Yankee Stadium?” Hannah asked the girl and an enthusiastic Bella shouted in joy, “Yeah!”
The 48-year-old former New York Yankee asked, “Yeah, what do you want to see at Yankee Stadium?”
“I have to eat!” Bella said. When Jeter asked what else, Story answers, “Eat ice cream.”
Later, the girls talked about how excited they were to eat ice cream and hot dogs, but they had no idea that their dad is being honored that night.
When Jeter asked whether the girls were eager to accompany him to the field. Story nodded showing excitement. An elated father looked back asking, “Really? With the team members?”
“No, because I’m not a good baseball player,” Story adorably explained. Looking at her beloved dad she added “Because I don’t want to broke my leg like you did, she sweetly says.”
“I don’t think you should worry about that, but thanks for caring,” the father responded, as he and his wife Hannah laughed while holding the 9-month-old youngest daughter.
Earlier this summer, when the professional athlete joined social media for the first time, he held a Q&A session with his followers on Instagram Story. During this time, he talked about his life after retirement and answered their questions.
He said, “The family is doing great.” “There are almost 5, 3, and 6 months old girls. So, man, pray for me.”
“We’re here in Miami, and we love it. I’ve been here for five years. Couldn’t be luckier, “he added.
When fans asked him what he was doing now, Jeter said, “I spend a lot of time chasing two girls around and changing diapers for a third.”
“See, this playground is behind me, and I spend a lot of time here,” he said.
Jeter has transformed himself well from Captain Clutch to a dotting father.
