Cory Youmans is having the best time of his life on vacation in Italy. He is the fan who got hold of Aaron Judge‘s 62nd home run ball that is worth at least $2 million at Globe Life Field.
Youmans along with his wife Bri Amaranthus are on a luxurious vacation on the much-sought-after and idyllic holiday destination the Amalfi Coast and they posted about it on their Instagram pages on Monday. The couple turned to become instant celebrities after Cory Youmans got hold of Judge’s 62nd homer ball. This catapulted them as media sensations and they became the subject of discussion over how richer the ball could make them.
Married last June, the couple’s Instagram shows photos and videos of themselves sailing through the Mediterranean on a private yacht, enjoying in Positano, the world’s Instagram capital, and drinking Italian beer while cruising through Capri. It is one of the most lavish vacations on earth.
Cory Youmans and Amaranthus, a sports reporter from Dallas and a former “Bachelor” contestant, also went to another couple’s party over the weekend at Hotel Villa Cimbrone in Ravello.
Youmans got a lot of attention on social media after he caught Judge’s 62nd home run ball, which was one of the most valuable items in MLB history. In a game against the Rangers in Texas on Oct. 4, the Yankees slugger reached the historic mark.
Youmans, who was born and raised in Dallas and works as a vice president at a local branch of Fisher Investments, said he had not decided if he would give the historic souvenir back to Judge after he caught the ball.
It’s also not clear if Cory Youmans still has the ball, which the owner of Memory Lane Auctions in Tustin, California, JP Cohen, said he would “immediately pay” $2 million for. Cohen told The Post that he attempted to contact Youmans the day after catching the ball — and that his offer was still on the table.
Brandon Steiner, the president, and CEO of CollectibleXchange and The Steiner Agency, told The Post that Judge’s 62nd home run ball is worth at least $2 million and might fetch much more.
After Cory Youmans caught the ball, the ballpark security took him away and reporters asked him what he planned to do with it.
“That’s a good question! I haven’t thought about it!” Youmans said at the time.
