On Saturday, Carlos Rodon showcased his remarkable talent in his third game for the Hudson Valley, a Double-A affiliate of the Yankees. The previous day, coach Aaron Boone had revealed that the left-handed pitcher would have a rehabilitation start with the Hudson Valley Renegades on July 1st. Taking the mound at Heritage Financial Park, Rodon delivered an outstanding performance against the Wilmington Blue Rocks.

Statistically, Rodon’s outing was nothing short of impressive. Throughout 3.2 innings, he allowed a mere one hit and kept the opposing team from scoring any runs. Carlos Rodon notched eight impressive strikeouts demonstrating his prowess while issuing only two walks. He commanded a total of 58 pitches, with an amazing 38 of them landing as strikes.

Carlos Rodon displayed unwavering confidence after the game, highlighting his adaptability and readiness to fulfill any pitching role the Yankees may need him for.

This rehabilitation start holds significant importance for Rodon as he continues his recovery from injury, marking a crucial step towards returning to peak physical condition. His exceptional performance in this game serves as a testament to his progress and suggests that his return to the major leagues is on the horizon.
