Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodón, continues his comeback journey from persistent back pain and an elbow strain sustained in early March. His shift to the 60-day injured list is not a sign of his recovery timeline; instead, it’s an administrative adjustment that allows Tommy Kahnle, recently recovered from a bout with biceps tendinitis, to rejoin the active roster. This move was coupled with major roster moves today that saw Giancarlo Stanton, Josh Donaldson long with Kahnle activated, while Oswaldo Cabrera, Franchy Corder and Matt Krook were sent down to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Before the current season, Rodón boasted an illustrious career. In 152 pitched games, he accumulated a record of 56-46 with a commendable 3.60 ERA across 847.1 innings. His superior performance earned him back-to-back All-Star accolades in 2021 and 2022.

Rodón has recently returned to mound throwing and is slated to engage in another bullpen session this Friday. Despite the lack of a definitive recovery timetable due to his lingering back and forearm issues, Rodón’s steady recuperation brings a glimmer of hope for his imminent return.

An illustrious career? Are you delusional? He is 10 games over 500 career winning percentage. He has never pitched over 200 innings in a season. Before his back to back good seasons with S.F. Giants in 2021 and 2022 he had an injury plagued career of mediocrity with I believe the White Sox. He’s never won 20 games. Cashman based Rodon’s ridiculous over priced salary the Yanks payed him based on 2 good years with S.F. rather than the complete picture of 9 or 10 years. As far as I’m concerned, the jury is still out on Rodon. All I see so far is a grossly ,overpaid, injury prone geep, who other than his last 2 seasons has done nothing to justify even 1/2 of what he’s being paid. Rodon is just Frankie Montas for 5 more years. They should have kept J.P. Sears and stop trying to patch up a crappy pitching staff with other teams mediocrity, overpriced mediocrity. Their farm system is filled with cheap mediocrity. Either way they’re not winning a thing with Cashman as GM. Analytics is useless. Playboys Miss May centerfold looks great on paper, try taking her to bed! See how that works out, about as good as Cashmans analytics. One championship in 22 years!

Truth ! Rodon is a high upside stuff pitcher that can’t stay on the field. Another example of The trade Yanks made with Seattle for James Paxton. Super high end pitcher that couldn’t and still can’t stay on the field.

Here is what’s wrong. Yankees do not draft big pitchers with big arms. instead they draft college pitchers everyone has seen who are “control” pitchers. Meanwhile on their MLB team, it’s loaded with strikeout pitchers.

Therefore it appears Yankees are drafting in order to trade away them because they don’t fit the MLB profile.

What is the Yankees MLB pitcher profile ? A pitcher with a 98 mph 2 seam sinker. Count them on the roster right now. Even Gerrit Cole is throwing a 2 seam now.

Instead of drafting to trade. Draft some big kids 6’3” and up with power arms 100+ mph guys. Sure they blow arms up. But @ minimum you get a big time RP. RP bring in trade value too.

Yanks have done a crap job historically drafting. Very few hits.

TOTALLY AGREE WITH EDWARD! CASHMAN’S GM NEGOCIATIONS & TRADES SPEAK ABOUT AS WELL AS HIS RESULTS IN GETTING A CHAMPIONSHIP SINCE 2010!
YOU ARE BATTING A FAT ZERO CASH…YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN HISTORY IF GEORGE WAS STILL AROUND… AGES AGO! BY 2013…Latest 2015… Here we are in 2023 & both you and Boone are getting renewed contracts…for your excellent results?!?🤦‍♂️🙄🤷‍♂️

YOUR RESULTS SHOULD NOT BE MEASURED AGAINST AVERAGE TEAMS THROUGHOUT AN 162 GAME SEASON. AND IF YOU WIN 6 OUT OF 10…YOU DESERVE A RAISE?!?
YOUR RESULTS SHOULD BE MEASURED AT THE END OF A SEASON VS THE BEST TEAMS (THAT IS HOW THE YANKS GOT 27 CHAMPIONSHIPS/ WITH A WINNING MENTALITY… WINNING THE WORLD SERIES OR THE SEASON WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL)! AND OBVIOUSLY, YOUR RESULTS IN THE POST SEASON SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES! ITS TIME FOR A CHANGE!!!

Boone never should have been in the conversation to take over that 2017 team on the W.S. Brink. How could you hand the keys to that team to a never managed little league dunce ? Because as you said “his family of MLB” experience?

How about renewing him on the premise if we don’t, someone else will.

This is the New York Yankees, worlds #1 baseball franchise. Why we settling for this as a manager ?

Frankly we should have decided who is the best manager for this storied wealthy franchise whether it was Francona or whoever and went out and got him. Send Cleveland money and prospects, they’d had coughed up Francona if that’s who was the absolute best choice.

Frankly I like Bud Black and iron belly who manages in Texas now. True experience not Boone a moron who makes politically correct lies to the reporters and gets ejected because of his frustration of getting out game managed.

Yankees are #1 in 1 category and that’s getting out game managed as the game unfolds. Clueless Boone talks a good game but has no results. Why ? He’s a liar and still unqualified experiment.

Cashman who I love, ruined this one. Soon it’s going to be him and Boone both getting the boot. Yanks are not drawing like they used to Hal. How’s jersey sales ? You got a loser managing your billion dollar jewel. Careful Hal.
