Last week, Carlos Rodon, the Yankees’ newly acquired star starting pitcher, made his first Instagram post. His first Instagram post after the starter’s New York confirmation shared an old clip of Rodon talking with CC Sabathia, another legendary pitcher for the Yankees. And the tagline was “Dream come true, can’t wait for the ride!”
Sabathia seems to be telling Carlos Rodon that the Yankees would have been a good fit for him, but Rodon signed with the San Francisco Giants as a free agent last winter instead. After a year, he has become a Yankee.
The video also shows highlights from Carlos Rodon’s career, like when the Chicago White Sox picked him in the MLB Amateur Draft, and clips of Rodon pitching for the White Sox and the Giants.
Carlos Rodon’s Instagram profile also proudly displays him in the pinstripes as his profile picture. His wife Ashley’s Instagram too posted his official unveiling at the Yankees Stadium.
