Since the All-Star break, the Yankees are 10-20, have been shut out in five August games, and have seen their division lead go from 10 games to 8 games.

GM Brian Cashman still believes in the Yankees and manager Aaron Boone.

After the Yankees were defeated by the Boston Red Sox in the Wild Card game in 2021, the number of people calling for Boone’s managerial tenure to come to an end in New York increased.

When the Yankees were having trouble getting going in the second half of the season, Cashman showed his support for Boone by giving him a new three-year contract. Now, when the Yankees are having trouble getting going, Cashman is showing his support for Boone.

After yet another disheartening loss, Boone finally lost it and slammed the table during a press conference after the Yankees’ loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday. Cashman’s comments come after Boone’s outburst, which comes after Boone’s comments.

New York was able to avoid injuries for the majority of the first half of the season, but the team has been hit with a string of bad luck lately, which has contributed to their poor performance.

Giancarlo Stanton, the team’s power hitter, has been sidelined since the end of July with an Achilles injury, and Matt Carpenter, who fractured his foot in early August, is expected to be sidelined for an extended period of time. In addition, Anthony Rizzo and DJ LeMahieu have been sidelined with injuries throughout the month of August.

After dropping six of their previous seven games, New York has won their last two in a row.
