The daily regimen revealed by Alex Rodriguez is an example for those fighting to lose weight. This has helped the former Yankees great shed 30 pounds and the changes he has incorporated in his daily routine include a range of stress busters and a committed schedule for digital detox.

Alex Rodriguez opened up about his weight loss during his appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Friday. He also highlighted how the stress caused by the pandemic and his work forced him to gain weight.

The pandemic effects led Alex Rodriguez to gain weight

The 48-year-old who holds the position of CEO for two companies, namely the investment firm A-ROD Corp and Slam Corp, informed Hudson that he had not been prioritizing his health as much as he should have. Alex Rodriguez acknowledged that he experienced significant stress due to his work and frequent travel between Los Angeles and Miami, which resulted in him gaining some weight. As the COVID-19 pandemic led to large-scale deaths and shutdown, he suffered a sense of anxiety as well.

According to Alex Rodriguez, he has a very sociable nature and a strong affinity for people. But during the pandemic, he felt uncertain about whether they would ever have the opportunity to meet people again. As result of increased stress and anxiety, he gained weight and appeared unhealthy. However, he soon realized that he wasn’t at his best physical condition during that period.

But nothing changed until Alex Rodriguez received support from his girlfriend, 44-year-old Canadian fitness instructor Jaclyn Cordeiro.

The Yankees legend mentioned that Cordeiro had advised him to improve his physical condition and helped him change his routine. Alex Rodriguez explained that he had made some changes in his daily schedule, starting by refraining from checking his phone until noon.

He further outlined his routine, including going to the gym at 8 in the morning for a couple of hours, followed by some sauna and steam, stretching, and meditation before spending his afternoons at his desk from 12 to 6.

Alex Rodriguez has previously attributed his weight loss success to intermittent fasting, which is a time-restricted approach to eating that has garnered praise from celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston and Chris Pratt. During his conversation, he revealed that he had adjusted his eating schedule, made changes to his diet, and removed steak from his diet.

Apart from his morning workout, Alex Rodriguez has incorporated a 45-minute walk after dinner into his daily routine. He explained that this addition had been beneficial and had contributed to his well-being, noting that the results had been positive.

Although he acknowledged that discussing his fitness journey might make him feel vulnerable, Alex Rodriguez explained that he made this decision because the past year of his health journey had brought about significant and life-changing improvements.
