Before him, only two other Yankees players were chosen for the AL Player of the Week honors. Juan Soto won it in the very first week of the 2024 MLB season and Anthony Rizzo had it for the week starting April 28.

Perhaps most impressively, Aaron Judge has managed to maintain a 1.433 OPS while simultaneously reducing his strikeout rate from 27% to 20.3%, demonstrating his improved plate discipline and overall offensive refinement.
The Yankees, who have been eagerly awaiting Aaron Judge’s return to form, have undoubtedly been thrilled by his recent surge.
