Aaron Judge is officially a dad! The New York Yankees captain announced the arrival of his first child with wife Samantha Bracksieck in an Instagram post on Wednesday afternoon. The couple welcomed a baby girl, Nora Rose Judge, on Jan. 27.
“1/27/25 Nora Rose Judge. What an incredible week it’s been, can’t wait for the memories the three of us make,” Judge wrote in the caption, accompanying a black-and-white photo of the newborn’s feet.

The announcement comes just weeks after Judge first revealed that he and his wife were expecting. While accepting the 2024 American League MVP award in a video message on Jan. 26, Judge apologized for missing the Baseball Writers’ Association of America awards dinner, explaining that he and Bracksieck were preparing for their baby’s arrival.
“My wife Samantha and I are expecting our first child any day and unfortunately could not make it,” he said at the time.
Judge and Bracksieck, who have kept their relationship largely private, tied the knot in December 2021 in a small ceremony in Hawaii. The couple has been together since their college days at Fresno State University.
A milestone off the field

The Yankees slugger has built an impressive career in the Bronx, earning two MVP awards and six All-Star selections. Aaron Judge, who is gearing up for his 10th season with the Yankees, recently helped lead the team to the 2024 World Series.
In a 2023 Bleacher Report interview with fellow MLB star Mookie Betts, Aaron Judge shared how buying a home for his wife was a priority after signing his nine-year, $360 million contract with New York.
“That was No. 1 on my list,” he said.
Off the field, Aaron Judge frequently shares glimpses of his life with Bracksieck and their dogs, posting photos of family moments and celebrations—including the Yankees’ World Series berth—on Instagram.
With the arrival of baby Nora, the Judge family is stepping into a new chapter, just as the Yankees prepare for another season.
