Even though New York’s team is done for the season, their big hitters are getting some praise. Aaron Judge and Anthony Rizzo have made to the final list of Silver Slugger Awards.
On Thursday, a list of the 2022 Silver Slugger Award finalists was made public. Some Yankees and Mets stars are on the list. These awards are given to the top offensive player in each position in the American and National Leagues each year.
For the Yankees, the nominations are Aaron Judge in the outfield, Anthony Rizzo in the first base, LeMahieu in the utility position, and Giancarlo Stanton as DH.
The Mets also have four players including Pete Alonso, on the list of Silver Slugger Award finalists.

The managers and coaches of MLB teams voted on the finalist list. On Thursday, November 10 at 6 p.m., MLB Network will announce the Silver Slugger Award winners.
