Yankees star Aaron Judge stepped away from the diamond for a night to attend the U.S. Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The superstar slugger was seen at Arthur Ashe Stadium with his wife, Samantha Bracksieck, alongside teammate Anthony Rizzo and Rizzo’s wife, Emily.

The group enjoyed the tournament’s signature honey deuce cocktails while watching Karolina Muchova defeat Naomi Osaka. This marks the third consecutive year that Aaron Judge and Bracksieck have made an appearance at the event.

Aaron Judge’s night off came well deserved, given his red-hot performance at the plate this month. In August, he posted a .415 batting average, a .556 on-base percentage, and a .927 slugging percentage. His August stats include 12 home runs, 24 RBIs, 24 walks—nine of them intentional—six doubles, and two stolen bases.

As of Thursday night, Aaron Judge leads the league in multiple offensive categories, including home runs (51), RBIs (123), on-base percentage (.467), slugging percentage (.731), and OPS (1.198). His .333 batting average ranks second in the majors, just behind Kansas City’s Bobby Witt Jr., who is hitting .345. Aaron Judge’s offensive WAR of 10.1 is the best in MLB, putting him on pace to challenge his own American League record of 62 home runs in a single season.

The Yankees are also anticipating a boost from Anthony Rizzo, who is nearing the end of his rehab stint with Double-A Somerset. Rizzo has been sidelined since mid-June due to a forearm injury but could rejoin the lineup soon.

After their night at the tennis, the Yankees are set to resume action Friday at Yankee Stadium, kicking off a critical three-game series against the Cardinals. With the playoff race heating up, the Yankees are hoping to maintain momentum as they fight for a top spot in the AL East.
