Luis Severino will be on the injured list for another month, but he is happy with how he is feeling right now.

The Yankees right-handed pitcher threw 25 pitches in a bullpen session on Monday. It was his first time throwing since he went on the disabled list in mid-July with a “low-grade” lat strain.

Even though Severino was surprised and upset to be moved to the 60-day IL this month, which means he can’t come back until at least September 12, he thinks he will be “more than ready” to come back on that day.

Severino will pitch again on Thursday if he recovers from Monday. Aaron Boone said Severino could throw “a few more bullpens” before facing live hitters in a rehab assignment.

The journey that Harrison Bader is taking to make his debut with the Yankees is not yet complete.

The Yankees got the defense-first outfielder in a surprising trade for left-handed pitcher Jordan Montgomery at the trade deadline. He came to The Bronx in a walking boot to treat plantar fasciitis. Boone says that he has just moved on to “Phase 2” of his recovery.
