New York Yankees 5-3 Chicago White Sox
CHICAGO — Aaron Judge launched his 42nd homer of the season while Cody Bellinger provided the decisive blow with an 11th-inning go-ahead single, lifting the New York Yankees over the Chicago White Sox 5-3 Saturday night at Guaranteed Rate Field. The victory established a season-high seventh consecutive win and stretched their road winning streak to nine games — the franchise’s longest since 1998.
Bellinger stepped to the plate with one out and runners on first and second during the 11th inning. He dropped a single into left field against Tyler Alexander (4-13), snapping a 2-2 deadlock. Jazz Chisholm Jr. followed with an RBI double. Despite Bellinger being thrown out at home plate on Austin Wells’ grounder, Anthony Volpe lined an RBI double to complete the three-run frame.
Wells had contributed a solo blast in the seventh inning, helping the Yankees (76-60) move within two games of AL East leader Toronto. New York also gained a full game on Boston in the divisional race.
Judge initiated the scoring during the fourth inning with a massive drive to center field, his latest power display that energized the traveling Yankees contingent.
Schlittler maintains strong form

Rookie right-hander Cam Schlittler positioned the Yankees for success with six solid innings. He restricted Chicago to one run on four hits while striking out eight and issuing one walk. He departed with a 1-0 advantage but received a no-decision.
Chicago starter Shane Smith controlled New York’s offense through most of his 6 1/3 innings, allowing two runs and three hits while fanning five batters. Wells’ leadoff homer in the seventh broke a 1-1 stalemate.
Late-inning drama unfolds
The White Sox (55-81) leveled the contest in the seventh when Curtis Mead doubled off Devin Williams and came home on Chase Meidroth’s RBI single.
David Bednar (5-5) captured the victory with a scoreless 10th inning. Camilo Doval surrendered an RBI groundout to Will Robertson in the 11th before securing his 16th save — and first since joining New York. His previous 15 saves came with San Francisco.
Key moments & statistics
Following Judge’s intentional walk in the 11th, Bellinger capitalized with a bloop single that landed in shallow left field, plating the go-ahead run. The Yankees finished 3-for-12 with runners in scoring position, converting just enough in extra innings to secure victory.
